Biography
Dr. Dashuang Shi graduated from Xiamen University in 1983 with a B.S. degree in chemistry. He received his Ph.D. degree in biophysics from University of Sydney in 1997, under the direction of Dr. Hans Freeman. During 1996 and 1999, he worked with Dr. Norma Allewell as a postdoctoral research associate at University of Minnesota. In 2000, Dr. Shi joined the Children’s National Medical Center, The George Washington University, as an assistant professor. He became an associate professor in 2006. Dr. Shi’s research interests are to increase the understanding of the structure-function relationships of nitrogen metabolism-related enzymes, particularly in urea cycle and arginine biosynthetic pathway.
