Biography

Prof. George I. Mantanis is a faculty member at University of Thessaly, Laboratory of Wood Science and Technology, at Karditsa campus, Greece. Prof. Mantanis holds a PhD in wood science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA (1994). He has worked at the Forest Products Lab (FPL) - Madison (1994), Forest Research Inst. of Thessaloniki (1996-97) and in the industrial company CHIMAR HELLAS S.A. (former ACM Wood Chemicals Plc) in years 1998-2001. He has been elected Co-Editor in the referred journal 'Wood Material Science and Engineering' (I.F. 2.553) since 2017. Recently in 2021, he was elected a Fellow in The International Academy of Wood Science.
