Biography
Laura Marquez Morales, born in Puebla, Mexico.
Earned a PhD in Biotechnology, with a scientific research on probiotics and prebiotics: "Effect of symbiotics on the intestinal microbiota in Mexican students with stress", carried out in the Biotechnology Research laboratory of the Universidad Popular Autonoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP). Master in Microbiological Sciences and graduate in Pharmacobiological Chemistry from the Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla (BUAP), Mexico. She carried out work in the fields of microbiological research and microbial genetics related to Azotobacter vinelandii and Brucella at the Instituto de Ciencias de la Universidad Autonoma de Puebla (ICUAP). She received a scholarship for academic excellence from the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia Y Tecnologia (CONACYT) for several investigations.
Professor in Microbiology, Histology, Biochemistry and Biology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Popular Autonoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP). Additionally, she teaches science at the basic and upper secondary levels at the Instituto Oriente de Puebla, a Jesuit college.
Member of the Asociacion Poblana de Ciencias Microbiológicas (APCM). Direction and advice of postgraduate theses. Active participation in several seminars, congresses, courses and diplomas.
