Biography

• 2001, graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University with Excellence with Honor.
• 2001-2007, worked as teaching assistant in Biochemistry Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University then, I got my Master’s degree in 2006 on diabetic cardiovascular complications.
• 2011, Ph.D. on glioblastoma cancer stem cells where I joined Sadhan Majumder's lab in Genetics Department, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, USA from 2008 through 2010 as part of Joint Supervision scholarship from Egyptian Government.
• 2014, Fulbright postdoctoral fellowship for nine months in M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, doing more research on brain tumor.
• 2017, Associate Professor then 2022, Professor of Biochemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, the British University in Egypt on secondment.
• 2019 - 2023, Director of the Center for Drug Research and Development (CDRD), Faculty of Pharmacy, The British University in Egypt.
• May, 2023 till current, Drug Research and Development Group Leader, under the Health Science Center of Excellence, The British University in Egypt.
• Almost 30 publications in Scopus indexed journals with decent impact factors and h-index 14, almost 600 citations (July, 2024), in addition, to a book chapter.
• Participated in many national and international conferences, supervised Master and Ph.D. theses and undergraduate graduation projects in Ain Shams University, Cairo University, Suez Canal University and The British University in Egypt.
