Biography
Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a scientific initiation student in the areas of biophysics and biochemistry, from the bench to computational experiments. In addition, she worked in the educational field as part of the PET-Biology project at PUCRS, where she had contact with various activities in schools. She has a Master's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from PUCRS, at the Neurotoxins Laboratory (LaNeuroTox) of the Brain Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (InsCer), focusing on the development of new anti-urease drugs that act as a virulence factor for various pathological microorganisms. She is currently a CAPES Doctoral Fellow in the Graduate Program in Biosciences at the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (UFCSPA), and is a member of the COVID-19 emergency call for proposals in immunology and drugs. He has experience in the areas of molecular biology, molecular biophysics and structural bioinformatics, working mainly on: I. Cloning, expression and purification of proteins. II. Cultivation of primary cells, adhesion cells and experimental analysis. III. Computational analysis: molecular modeling, molecular docking, molecular dynamics with emphasis on the study of the interaction process between molecules (mainly proteins) for the development of potential new drugs.
