Biography

(gender: male), holds a diploma of advanced studies (DEA) (2003) and doctorate thesis in Biological Sciences specialty plant biotechnology (2010) from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, university of El Manar, Tunisia. Since 2005, associate professor and then assistant professor (2011). Ex-director of the Department of Life Sciences (2014-2020) and director of the Career and skills Certificate Center (4C) in the Faculty of Sciences (FSG) at the University of Gabes-Tunisia. Member of the master commission of Cellular and Molecular Biology in the FSG since 2013. Scientific coordinator of a federated research project (PRF2019-D1P3/LR18ES36). Member of 7 scientific projects: FOOD-CT-2004-506223, grain legumes.TTC; PT6 Project INCO-CT-2004-509115; 19PEJC05-13; Tunisian-Morocco cooperation project (20/PRD-07) 2020-2023; 20PEJC05-05; Tunisian-Italian cooperation 23/TI0902; PRIMA project (VALOstones) 2023-2025, and 3 academic projects: TEMPUS n° 530312-TEMPUS-1-2012-1-FR-TEMPUS-JPHES; PAQ SV, 2013: Project Supporting the reform of Higher Education II; Credit BIRD N° 7392/TUN; PAQ DGSE, 2021. Member of the Laboratory of Biodiversity and Valorization of Bioressources in Arid Zones at the FSG (LR18ES36). Research activities focus on plant physiology and biotechnology, plant microorganisms interactions, plant growth promoter rhizobia, plant growth regulation, crops soilless culture, quality control and physico-chemical analysis of food products, and phytochemistry. Supervisor of 15 bachelor graduation projects, 9 masters and 3 thesis (in co-supervision). Author and co-author of over than 30 publications in the field of plant physiology, biochemistry and photochemical analysis.
