Biography
Amir received B.S. (1980), M.S. (1981), and Ph.D. (1986) degrees from Oklahoma State University in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Amir’s Ph.D. studies concentrated on computer-aided controller development for nonlinear systems, and he has been active in this area ever since. Amir has over 140 publications (including technical reports) in ASME, IEEE, AIAA, ASCE, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Amir has had collaborations at institutions in higher education in the U.S., Asia, and the Middle East and has provided scientific services for the United States Military and National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Amir is an ABET Scholar and served as an ABET Program Evaluator.
