Biography

Iva Cibilić was born on November 11, 1995. in Dubrovnik, where she finished high school, general grammar gymnasium. In 2014 she enrolled in the bachelor study of Geodesy and Geoinformatics in Zagreb, and in 2017 she enrolled in the master study at the same faculty. She graduated in 2020 under the mentorship of Assoc. Professor Vesna Poslončec-Petrić with the master thesis titled Augmented reality navigation.
During her master studies, she participated in Erasmus international student exchange program and spent a semester at Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) of Engineering in Geodesy, Cartography and Surveying.
After graduating, she was employed at the Faculty of Geodesy in Zagreb as a teaching and research assistant at the Chair of Cartography. She is currently conducting exercises in the courses Geovisualization, Practical Cartography, Thematic Cartography, Cartography. She actively participates in several international projects (GEOBIZ, SEED4NA, TODO and UN4DRR), also actively participates in international and domestic conferences and training, and publishes papers in domestic and international journals.
