Biography
I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in Bioengineering at the California Institute of Technology.
From 2010-2013, I worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (Singapore) on understanding amyloid-self assembly and developing peptide-based therapeutics for amyloid-associated diseases. These include Alzheimer's, Diabetes Type 2, Parkinson's and prion-related disorders.
I graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2010, with a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering. I was also part of the University Scholars Programme, an interdisciplinary academic honors program that aims to produce graduates with the intellectual rigor, vision and innovative spirit to make significant contributions to society.
My research interests include: Protein Engineering, Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering, Molecular self-assembly, Nanotechnology, Amyloid-associated diseases, Drug and Gene Delivery
