Biography

Prof. Maalej is presently a full professor of Physics at the University of Sfax, Tunisia. He received MS degree in Physics from the University of Sfax in 1995 and PhD in Quantum Physics from University of Tunis El Manar in 2001 and Habilitaion HDR in 2007. He has been supervised ten PhD theses, and co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific journals. Currently he is leading the research group “Photonic and Advanced Materials”. His research interests include theoretical and experimental studies of lanthanide-doped nanomaterials for emerging nanoforensic technologies, optical temperature sensors, nanobiosensor. He is actually associate editor of IEEE transactions on nanobiosciences Journal.
