Biography
KARAR MAHMOUD (Senior Member, IEEE) received a Ph.D. degree from the Electric Power and Energy System Laboratory (EPESL), Graduate School of Engineering, Hiroshima University, Hiroshima, Japan, in 2016. Since 2010, he has been with Aswan University, where he is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. Since 2019, He has been with Aalto University (Finland), where he is currently a Research Associate with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering with the Group of Prof. M. Lehtonen, School of Electrical Engineering, Aalto University, Finland.
In total, till April-2022, he has co-authored 101 peer-reviewed scientific papers in international journals, book chapters, and conferences. Since 2021, he has been a Topic Editor of Sensors and Energies journals and has also become a Guest Editor for three special issues in Energies, Catalysts, and Forecasting journals. Further, he is a Guest Editor for special issues in Catalysts and Forecasting journals. In 2022, he becomes a Guest Editor of special issues in Frontiers in Energy Research Journal where I am a guest editor on the topic of Smart Grids. In total, he has +260 certified reviews for research papers in 41 different Journals. He has awarded the Prestigious Egyptian State Encouragement Award in the field of engineering sciences in 2021 and was honored by Egypt's Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) for his scientific contributions and achievements as a “distinguished scholar younger than 40.”
