Biography
She was trained as an architect at the University of Palermo (1998) and received PhD degree in history of Architecture and Preservation of Architectural Heritage at Palermo University in 2003. Research fellow (CNR-Nato scholarship) at the International Center of Croatian Universities of Dubrovnik in 2004; research fellow (MIUR) at Palermo University from 2006 till 2010. She is currently Assistant Professor (Ricercatore) at Palermo University (from December 2011), where teaches History of modern architecture.
She took part to several national and international congresses, and national and international research projects. She currently serves as member of the directional board of the scientific journal «Lexicon. Storie e architettura in Sicilia e nel Mediterraneo». Member of the PhD board in Architecture, Arts and Planning (Palermo University)
Her research interests are focused on history of architecture in late-medieval and early modern age in Siciliy and other islands and costal regions in western Mediterranean (Sardinia, Malta, Dalmatia). On these subjects she published several studies (monographs, articles on scientific magazines, contributions on books and congresses’ proceedings).
