Biography

Dr. Himanshu Sharma is presently working as Associate Professor in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) department at GLA University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh (U.P), India. He has worked as the Head (R&D) and Associate Professor in the ECE deprtment at Noida Institute of Engineering & Technology (NIET), Greater Noida from 2023 to 2024. He has worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the field of Industry 4.0 at Aalborg University, Denmark, Europe (QS world rank #46) from 2022 to 2023. He worked as Associate Professor (Research) in the ECE department of KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad, Delhi-NCR, U.P, India from 2008 to 2022. He has worked in HCL Infosytems Ltd., Noida as Computer Network Engineer for 3 years from 20022 to 2005. He has done executive Master of Business Administration (eMBA) from University of Western Australia (UWA), Australia (QS world rank #72). He received his Ph.D. Degree in the field of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) & Internet of Things (IoT) from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) (NIRF rank #3), New Delhi, India in 2019. He has done M.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) from state govt. Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. He has also done M.Tech. (ECE) & B.Tech.(ECE) from the state govt. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, U.P, India in the year 2014 and 2008 respectively. Dr Sharma has published 5 books, 6 SCI research papers and 35 Scopus research papers in IEEE / Elsevier / Springer journals and conferences. His Google scholar citations are 808, h-index is 9 and i-10 index is 9. He has been awarded the IEEE Most Read Article award-2021 from IEEE Smart Cities Newsletter, USA in the Year 2022. He has received the prestigious “Best Faculty Award 2020” from the state govt. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, U.P, India, in the year 2020.
