Biography
Andrea Siebenhofer-Kroitzsch graduated in 1993 at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz and her habilitation in Internal Medicine took place in 2004. She is a consultant physician and since 2005 she has been head of the research unit "EBM Review Center" of the Medical University of Graz.
Since 2009 she is Professor of Chronic Care and Health Services Research and Deputy Director and Head of the Department of Chronic Care and Health Services Research at the Institute of General Medicine, at J.W. Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
In January 2015, Andrea Siebenhofer-Kroitzsch became Professor of General Medicine and Evidence-Based Health Services Research and founded the Institute of General Practice and Evidence-Based Health Services Research at the Medical University of Graz, Austria.
In 2013 and 2017 she was a Visiting Researcher at Centre for Research in Evidence-Based Practice (CREBP), Bond University Paul Glasziou.
She is author of over 120 PubMed cited peer-reviewed publications, has performed and published randomised trials including one paper dealing with methodological weakness in preparing and performing cluster-randomized controlled trials and she is author of several systematic review publications including 8 previously published Cochrane reviews on different topics.
