Biography

I am currently a faculty member in Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University as an Associate Teaching Professor. I am the director of the Make to Innovate program and Assistant Director for the Iowa Space Grant Consortium. My areas of research and interest are in Engineering Education and using tools like virtual and augmented reality, games, and hands-on learning to teach students new skills. My background is in Electrical and Computer Engineering (BS and MS) and Human-Computer Interaction (PhD). I am also a licensed Amateur Radio operator (KB0MGQ) and hold my Private Pilot's license and my Part 107 license. I do a lot with aviation, including the high-altitude balloon program that I run at ISU as well.
