Biography
Earned my degree in computational physics in 2005 from University of Augsburg, Germany. My PhD research combined experimental work in a cold lab with image processing and simulation in order to shed light on the dynamics of temperature gradient snow metamorphism. The PhD was awarded by ETH Zürich in 2009. After 3 years of postdoctoral research at the Synchrotron radiation facility of Paul Scherrer Institute (Villigen, Switzerland), where I shot unique 3D datasets with phase contrast imaging, I accepted a faculty position at University of Applied Sciences in Kempten, Germany in 2013.
Since 2016, I am developing optical systems and related image processing routines for industrial applications in the 3Dvisionlab, department of mechanical engineering of the UAS Kempten.
