Biography
After obtain the undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at Engineering School of Sao Carlos, University of Sao Paulo, from 1984 to 1988, worked as civil engineer at Maxion Enterprise in Sao Bernardo do Campo, Sao Paulo, during 1989, as well as at Geotechnical Department of Engineering at Engineering School of Sao Carlos, from 1990 to 1992. In August 1992 began the graduate in Structural Engineering at Department of Structural Engineering of Engineering at Engineering School of Sao Carlos, University of Sao Paulo, obtaining Master's degree in September 1994, as well as Doctorate Degree in July 1998. From August 1998 to June 1999, worked as substitute professor at Federal University of Sao Carlos and, in August 1999 began as professor at Engineering School of Sao Carlos, University of Sao Paulo, where at present day work an Associate Professor. As researcher, has experience, in numerical and experimental context, considering themes related to Steel Structures, Composite Steel and Concrete Structures, as well as in "Safety of Structures and Fire Situation", applied to the steel and composite steel and concrete structures and, more recently, also applied to timber as masonry structural elements. Also works as advisor for Brazilian Financial Support Agencies, such as Sao Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP, in Portuguese), National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq, in Portuguese), Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES, in Portuguese), as well as reviewer for national and international journals.
