Biography

My research focuses on plant viruses. I am interested in deciphering the molecular mechanisms involved in virus transmission by insect vectors, particularly non-circulative viruses transmitted by aphids, and I develop studies related to virus-vector and plant-insect interactions. The quest for the identification of virus receptors in aphid mouthparts opened a new line of research to characterize the cuticle of aphid stylets.
