Biography
Kosc is Associate Professor of American Literature at the American Studies Center of the University of Warsaw. He is the author of two critical books, Robert Lowell: Uncomfortable Epigone of the Grands Maîtres (2005) and Robert Frost's Political Body (2014). Most recently, he has coedited, with Steven Gould Axelrod of University of California, Riverside (UCR), a new edition of Robert Lowell's Memoirs for Farrar, Straus and Giroux (2022), and with Thomas Austenfeld of the University of Fribourg, Robert Lowell in Context for Cambridge University Press (2024). He also has contributed essays to journals such as Wallace Stevens Journal, Partial Answers, Papers on Language and Literature, a/b: Auto/Biography Studies, and College Literature. In 2009 he was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of Chicago; more recently, he has been a recipient of three major research grants from the National Science Center Poland.
Presently, he is working on a monograph "Robert Lowell's financial problems and the crisis of modernism" and coediting, with Steven G. Axelrod, Robert Lowell's Essays and Observations, again for Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
