Biography

Currently, Ecem is a PhD student and a lecturer at Charles University in the Institute of Sociological Studies. She is teaching both master level course (Gender, Men and Masculinities / Introduction to Urban Sociology) and assist in bachelor and master level courses (Thinking sociologically - an introduction / Social Inequalities: Gender, Ethnicity, Age) at the faculty. Her research area is a combination feminist studies and intersectionality, anti-gender movements in Europe, transnational migration, gender identities of migrants, and men and masculinities in general.
