Biography
I am a genomically literate biologist with expertise in functional genomics and molecular biology and a solid blend of scientific knowledge in interdisciplinary studies, for example, host-virus interactions and cancer biology. Throughout my undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral training I have displayed a sustained focus on genomic-centered research. I have the skills to plan, conduct, analyze and interpret high throughput sequencing experiments. In my first Post Doc at The Ohio State University, I have undertaken high-throughput experimental methods in genomics to investigate the epigenomic drivers of hormone-dependent cancers. Currently, I am a computational genomics Post Doc Fellow at the University of Cincinnati, primarily involved in high-throughput next-generation sequencing data analysis. My long-term goal is to become a thought leader in the field of genomics who leads innovative interdisciplinary high-impact research and translate these discoveries into impactful and novel therapeutics.
