Biography
Lucas Ponte is a medical doctor graduated in 2021 at the University of Fortaleza, Brazil. Being a general surgery resident at the University’s Hospital Walter Cantídio (HUWC). Currently working in fixed pre-hospital care of adult and children, focusing in urgency/emergency medicine and critical care. Currently Vice Chair for the informational technology commission for the Association of Academic Global Surgery (AAGS) and Independent Collaborator of the Harvard Medical School Program on Global Surgery and Social Change (PGSSC) Team Brazil.
He is specialized in Health Education at the Center for Development in Medical Education of the Faculty of Medicine - University of São Paulo (CEDEM FM-USP); and finishing a MBA on Healthcare Management by Business Behavior Institute (BBI) of Chicago.
He is an Alumnus for the International Federation of Medical Students Associations of Brazil (IFMSA Brazil) and International Students Surgical Network (InciSioN).
His interests are medical education, global surgery, public health, healthcare management, surgical education and critical care.
