Biography

Sarobidy Rakotonarivo is an environmental socio-economist with an interdisciplinary background in natural resource management. She mostly uses surveys, experimental approaches and mixed methods to understand decision-making in the areas of rural livelihoods, environmental justice, and conservation. She recently completed a three-year postdoctoral research on conservation-food security conflicts at the University of Stirling and is now a research fellow at the university of Antananarivo, investigating the social aspects of forest carbon projects (such as REDD+ and forest landscape restoration projects).
