Biography

Katarina Lalic, MD, PhD, is specialist in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. She completed undergraduate studies 1987 and PhD thesis 2002 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. At present, she is Full-time Professor of Internal Medicine, at the same Faculty and Head of the Department for lipid disorders and cardiovascular complications in diabetes, Clinic for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Disease, Clinical Center of Serbia, Belgrade. In research, the main interest is in lipid metabolism, diabetes, insulin resistance and cardiovascular disorders. She was invited lecturer at several national and international meetings, reviewer in national and international journals and has published more than 80 papers in peer review journals. Dr Lalic is member of many professional organizations and societies, including EASD, ADA, EAS etc.
