Personal information

Prognostic and Health Management, Lithium-Ion Batteries
Italy, France, Germany

Biography

Francesco Cancelliere obtained his Master of Science degree at Politecnico di Milano in Energy
Engineering in 2018, where he worked on data-driven methods for the estimation of battery State of
Health. He worked for three years in the automotive industry at Vimercati (Milano), before being
selected for the European project GREYDIENT at PHIMECA Engineering (Paris) in 2021, where he is
currently working as Research Engineer. The aim of the GREYDIENT project is to advance the state of
the art in the Grey-Box Modelling, and in his current work he is integrating machine learning
techniques and physical models to optimize battery longevity for electric vehicles.
