Biography
Ufuk Ataş, PhD, is an Associate Professor at Artvin Çoruh University, Artvin, Türkiye. He completed his graduate studies in English Language Teaching in the Department of Foreign Language Education at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, where he also worked as a Research/Teaching Assistant for ten years. Since 2018, he has taught courses on applied linguistics, discourse, language skills, and language teaching pedagogy, mainly to non-education degree students. His research focuses on the professional roles, identity tensions, agency, and professional development of language teachers and teacher educators. He is currently co-chair of the Research and Development Community "Empowering Teacher Education" of the Association for Teacher Education in Europe (ATEE), focusing on exploring teacher educators’ lived experiences in diverse educational contexts.
