Biography

I'm interested in improving nutrition and food security through agricultural biotechnology. This goal has lead to instrumental interests in plant metabolic engineering, plastid transformation, and agronomic trait improvement. I'm currently a UC Berkeley PhD student working with Patrick Shih at the Joint BioEnergy Institute of Berkeley Lab. I completed a M.S. at UC Davis working with Patrick Shih, a M.Phil at University of Cambridge with Jim Haseloff, and a B.S. at University of Miami with Jeff Prince.
