Biography
Chen Ku-Hsieh has been a professor of economics at the Department of Applied Economics and Management at the National Ilan University of Taiwan since August 1, 2019. He was also the Chief Secretary (2020-) and Associate Dean (2020-) of the College of Humanities and Management at National Ilan University. He was a professor of finance and economics and chief executive officer (dean) of the Commission of General Education (2017-2019) and the Chairperson of the Department of Applied Economics (2013-2016) and Department of Management at Fo-Guang University (2011-2013). Before his academic career, he was also a professional trader in a financial securities company (1996-2003). He obtained his Ph.D. from the Tamkang University (2003-2008). Before his academic career, he was also a professional trader in a financial securities company (1996-2003). His research interests involve integration theory, industrial economics, managerial economics, financial economics, productivity, efficiency analysis, applied economics, applied econometrics, financial market and institution, investment, and energy economics. To date, he has published numerous research papers in high-quality refereed academic journals, including the Journal of Banking and Finance, Research in Higher Education, Energy Economics, China Economic Review, Journal of Productivity Analysis, Small Business Economics, Energy Efficiency, Contemporary Economic Policy, Assessment & Evaluation in Higher Education, Applied Economics, Agricultural Economics (Zemedelska Ekonomika), Global Economic Review, and Singapore Economic Review. Moreover, he is also an author of the book chapter in the publication Taiwan's Economic Transformation in Evolutionary Perspective: Entrepreneurship, Innovation Systems, and Government, 2007, Nova Science (ISBN: 978-1-60021-498-1).
