Biography

Zafer Ömer Özdemir has been a full-time faculty member at the University of Health Sciences Turkiye since 2018. He completed his undergraduate education in 1998 at Istanbul Technical University's Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Chemistry, and pursued his master's degree in Organic Chemistry at Istanbul Technical University's Graduate School of Science. He earned his PhD in Biochemistry at Yıldız Technical University's Graduate School of Science.

Zafer Ömer Özdemir began his academic career as a research assistant in the Department of Bioengineering at Yıldız Technical University, where he worked on various research projects for seven years. In 2011, he joined Kırklareli University as an assistant professor in the fields of Chemistry and Energy Systems Engineering. He also served as Vice Dean at Kırklareli University's Faculty of Technology, playing a significant role in academic administration.

In 2018, Zafer Ömer Özdemir joined the University of Health Sciences, where he has gained recognition for his work in analytical chemistry and biotechnology. His research interests include peptide synthesis, HPLC analysis, enzyme immobilization, plant extraction methods, and the characterization of phenolic compounds. Additionally, he focuses on innovative research integrating energy chemistry and artificial intelligence.

Zafer Ömer Özdemir has contributed to various national and international projects, published in numerous prestigious journals, and made significant contributions to his field through his scientific work.

Throughout his career, he has aimed to apply his knowledge and experience in both academic and industrial contexts, striving to develop sustainable solutions in the fields of chemistry and biotechnology.
