Biography

Sebastian Horn is a senior researcher at the University of Zurich (Switzerland), Department of Psychology. Before that, he worked as a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development Berlin (Germany). His research is at the intersection between lifespan developmental psychology, cognition (decision making and memory), and cognitive modeling.

Sebastian Horn is also faculty member of the International Max Planck Research School on the Life Course (IMPRS LIFE) [https://www.imprs-life.mpg.de/en], a member of the Swiss Network for Well-Being and Aging [https://wellbeingnetwork.ch/], and serves on the editorial board of the journal Psychology and Aging [https://www.apa.org/pubs/journals/pag].

Research interests:
Age related and individual differences
Value-based decisions, preferences, gains and losses
Motivational orientation
Memory-based decision making
Prospective and episodic memory
Uncertainty in different decision domains (preferential, perceptual-motor, and memory-based decisions)
Cognitive measurement modeling
