Biography
My passion is at the forefront of nanotechnology, materials science, and chemistry with an emphasis on solving urgent energy and environmental problems. I am fascinated by the potential of nanotechnology to develop novel materials with enhanced properties that can transform energy conversion, storage, and consumption. Moreover, I believe that the integration of chemistry plays a critical role in achieving optimal materials design while also enhancing our understanding of energy and environmental issues. I aspire to contribute to this field by pursuing research that utilizes new nano-structured functional materials and chemical approaches to enable sustainable solutions that benefit society and the environment.
Focusing on Energy, Water, and Environmental issues:
Advanced oxidation and degradation processes based on photocatalysis/photoelectrochemical degradation using various carbon-based supported nanostructures (National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF)-funded project)
Hydrogen evolution utilizing bio-resources, treated pharmaceutical wastes, and advanced photocatalysts
Eco-benign post-modified MOFs, functional MXenes-based systems, and carbon-based supported nanostructures for Energy storage, Hydrogen evolution in Pure/Sea-water systems, and electrochemical sensors
