Biography
I am a PhD student in Public Health, a pharmacist, and a researcher. My research interest focuses on the health of vulnerable populations and migrants.
During my master's studies in public health, I have gained extensive experience conducting epidemiological and surveillance studies, performing statistical analysis, submitting research proposals to ethics committees, and assisting with data collection and cleaning for migration health-related research. My participation in the World Health Organization summer school on migrants' and refugees' health in Turkey allowed me to deepen my interest in this field. It improved my willingness to adapt to a new environment while growing confidence and helped me network with a diverse group of scholars, professors, and stakeholders from across the globe.
At ENSP, my fellowship honed my research skills in performing literature reviews, implementing data analysis methods, preparing a dictionary of variables, editing scientific papers, and collaborating on academic manuscripts. I was responsible for managing administrative and clinical data extracted from hospital databases, creating tables, executive summaries, figures/graphs, and spreadsheets to present results, tracking and monitoring research goals and deliverables, and managing project-related activities.
I have contributed to two research articles, including being the first author of one, which taught me responsibility, dedication, and proficiency in academic writing.
Currently, my PhD research at ENSP investigates cervical cancer preventive interventions among vulnerable populations. My experiences and skills equip me to pursue my research interests in migrant and vulnerable populations' health. I am excited to continue expanding my knowledge and contributing to Public Health through my academic and professional pursuits.
