Biography
I am a dedicated researcher and academic specializing in microbiology, with a particular focus on antibiotic resistance, infectious diseases, and molecular epidemiology. As a faculty member at Jeddah University, I contribute to advancing knowledge in microbiome studies and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs), especially in healthcare-associated environments.
My research interests are centered around the prevalence and pathogenicity of Staphylococcus aureus, with a special emphasis on methicillin-resistant strains (MRSA). I am actively involved in exploring the genetic diversity and molecular epidemiology of S. aureus, including the study of specific clones such as ST672 in Saudi Arabia. Driven by a passion for integrating research with practical applications, I am also focused on developing rapid diagnostic tests for pathogens, leveraging my knowledge of microbiomes and metagenomics.
