Biography
I received my B.Sc. & M.Sc. degrees in Bioengineering Department. During my undergraduate education, I did my management internship at Turkish Ministry of Health/ Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency and laboratory internship at Ankara University Biotechnology Institute. I experienced many molecular techniques such as DNA isolation, RNA isolation, Gel Electrophoresis, PCR, RT-PCR, Microarray and Primer Designing for PCR.
In the course of my master’s degree, I was actively worked on cell culture, in vitro cancer researches, in vitro cytotoxicity assays (MTT, XTT), antioxidant assays, nanotoxicology and nanoparticular drug delivery systems. In addition, examination of neuroprotective and regenerative effects at cellular level are other parts of my research area. After my graduation, I worked as a project assistant in department of mechatronics engineering, YTU. I was working on single-cell stiffness analysis by acousto-holographic technique to examine mechanical characteristics of the cells. Currently, I´m a PhD student at ETH Zürich jointly with Paul Scherrer Institute, Mechano-Genomics Group (MGG).
