Biography

Robson Junior has a BA in English and Literature (UFES/Brazil) and a Post-Graduation certificate in Distance Education (UFF/Brazil).
His research undertakings regard Educational Affordances of Immersive Virtual Reality and Video Games for integrated STEAM Curriculum Development.
Since Fall 2017, Junior is a Teaching, Learning, and Technology Ph.D. student in the department of Education and Human Services at Lehigh University's Graduate College of Education.

In Brazil, Junior built a 10-year English teaching career. He is interested in foreign language teaching and learning, autonomy studies, technology integration, online environments, and video games. He worked in the municipality of Macae, state of Rio de Janeiro with middle school and language course grades with EFL (English as a Foreign Language). He also worked with ESP (English for Specific Purposes) in Macae’s public college. There, he developed research regarding the development of a comprehensive Virtual Learning Environment (powered by MOODLE) aiming at offering quality foreign language instruction and technology education through the use of free available resources scattered throughout the internet.
