Biography
Dr Jelena Molnar Jazić (female), associate professor at University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sciences (UNSPMF) since 2018 in the field of Environmental Protection, a member of the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Protection since 2007. She graduated Chemistry in 2007 at UNSPMF and received her Ph.D. in Chemistry in the field of Environmental protection in 2011 (Dissertation: “The effects of selected advanced oxidation processes and coagulation on natural organic matter content in water”). Her scientific research focuses on drinking water quality and treatment with special emphasis on the advanced oxidation processes application for natural organic matter and specific organic pollutants removal; organic trace analysis in the environmental samples (water and sediment) using gas chromatography. Special interest covers ozone based advanced oxidation processes, including ozonation, ozone based AOPs and photochemical advanced oxidation processes. She realized her scientific work through participation in 2 projects funded by the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, 2 projects financed by the Provincial Secretariat for Science and Technological Development of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and 4 international projects (FP6, EUREKA, IPA, Twinning Western Balkans HORIZON-WIDERA-2021-ACCESS-02). She was involved in more than 40 studies related to research in environmental protection and technology. She is the co-author of more than 100 publications, of which 45 are papers in scientific journals of international importance. She was the winner of the Danubius Young Scientist Award, as a representative of the Republic of Serbia for 2016. She is a member of the professional associations: Serbian Chemical Society and Association for Water Technology and Sanitary Engineering. Scopus author ID: 57219514409 (h-index 14).
