Biography

Isaac is a researcher at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg, SA and an Honorary Research Fellow of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, SA (The Premier University of Africa Scholarship). I have passion for bioprocessing with expertise in fermentation technology, nanobiotechnology, green economy technologies (waste biomass pre-treatment and valorisation), process optimization, scaling up, technoeconomic analysis and the development of bioprocess-based artificial intelligence (AI) models towards knowledge discovery in line with the fourth industrial revolution (4IR). Also harnessing nano-biocatalyst potential in bioprocessing: development of nanoparticle-based bioprocesses to produce value-added bioproducts. My research areas are expected to bring about improvement in waste management while creating opportunities to produce bioenergy and biomaterials through integrated biorefining process with the reduction in greenhouse gas emission footprint in the environment in the pursuit of a future that is Net-Zero greenhouse gases.
