Biography

Kalpana Sunil Thakre completed her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Swami Ramanand Tirth Marathwada University, Nanded India and M.Tech. degree in Computer Sci & Engg from RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur(MS)India. She is presently working as Professor in Information Technology Department Sinhgad College of Engineering affiliated to Pune University, Pune (MS) India. Her research interests includes Applied algorithms, Advanced Databases, Image/Video Retrievel, Database Management systems, Artificial Intellegence, Business Analytics and Intelligence, Software architecture, Data Mining and Warehousing, Computer vision, Multimedia Technology etc. She has many research publications in refereed international journals and conferences in her account. She is a recepient of BCUD Project Grant as a Principal Investigator and she is awraded as a “Distinguished Women in IT” by prestigious VIWA-2018 in the year 2018. She has filed 02 National patents. She is a reviewer of many refereed International journals and has worked as a core organizing committee member, Technical program committee member and Session Chair at many international conferences. She is Member of various Professional bodies like IEEE, ACM, CSI, ISTE, IEAE.
