Biography
I am an Educational Psychologist with research interest in optimizing the learning potentials of children with disabilities and those from underprivileged backgrounds; adolescence academic and mental wellbeing; students’ belief systems; and human learning. My present research is linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals which seek to address some of the biggest challenges facing humanity. Currently, I work to ensure that marginalized students are productively engaged and included in regular classes. I recognize that student development is a product of the interaction of both distal and proximal factors. Its explanation demands comprehensive theoretical explanation in which such variables are infused to show the pathways of student development. This has prompted me to anchor my research on bio-ecological theories.
