Biography
Currently is an Associate Staff as Medical Imaging Analyst at Weill Cornell Medical College and editorial support at the Brazilian Journal of Medical Physics. Holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a researching in Biomedical Engineering from the School of Technology at PUCRS, with a exchange period at the Faculty of Medicine at KU Leuven (Belgium) and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics with a minor in Medical Physics at PUCRS.
Works with PET/CT images and magnetic resonance images in projects related to multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, Monte Carlo simulation with GATE (Geant4 Application for Emission Tomography) and Geant4, focusing on internal dosimetry (Y- 90, Lu-177 and Tb-161) and quantitative analysis of a dosimetry gel for radiotherapy purposes. Formerly worked as assistant researcher at MEDICOM (Laboratory of Computing in Medical Images) at PUCRS, and as Professor of Physics Applied to Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy at Grau Técnico, SENAC and Unitec. He was an intern at Hospital São Lucas da PUCRS, in the radiotherapy service, performing planning, treatment and quality control.
