Biography

Elaine Trindade is a PhD candidate in Communication Sciences at the University of Minho. FCT Research Grant (UI/BD/151121/2021). She is a researcher at the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS) , where she works on the Virtual Museum of Lusophony (MVL) platform. She was a Research Fellow for the “Memories, cultures and identities: how the past weights on the present-day intercultural relations in Mozambique and Portugal?”, project with funding from FCT and the Aga Khan Development Network Foundation. Elaine has a Master's degree in Communication and Culture, in the Communication and Aesthetic Technologies research line, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Develops research in the area of ​​communication and culture, with special interest in issues surrounding Lusophony, decolonization, the use of new communication technologies and integration in contemporary culture, photographs and images via mobile devices, Google Maps, Google Earth, Google Arts and Culture and Virtual Museum of Lusophony.


Elaine Trindade é doutoranda em Ciências da Comunicação, no Instituto de Ciências Sociais, da Universidade do Minho. Bolseira de Investigação FCT(UI/BD/151121/2021). É investigadora no Centro de Estudos de Comunicação e Sociedade (CECS) onde se dedica à plataforma do Museu Virtual da Lusofonia (MVL) . Foi Bolseira de Investigação do projeto “Memories, cultures and identities: how the past weights on the present-day intercultural relations in Mozambique and Portugal?”, com financiamento da FCT e Fundação Aga Khan Development Network. É Mestre em Comunicação e Cultura, na linha de pesquisa de Tecnologias da Comunicação e Estéticas, pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Desenvolve pesquisas na área da comunicação e da cultura, com especial interesse em questões acerca da lusofonia, descolonização, na utilização das novas tecnologias de comunicação e integração na cultura contemporânea, fotografias e imagens por dispositivos móveis, Google Maps, Google Earth, Google Arts and Culture e Museu Virtual da Lusofonia.
