Biography
Project Direector, ICSSR Project. Title: The Empowerment of Handloom and Powerloom Weavers: Status and Suggestions (A Study of Azamgarh and Mau Districts of Uttar Pradesh) ” Major Project.
I am Amir Hussain, a social work scholar with a passion for studying the informal sector in India. With a Ph.D. from the social work department at AMU, I dedicated my research to understanding government welfare policies that impact the weaving community and other marginalized groups.
My research has a strong focus on exploring the intersection of poverty, employment, and social policies in India. Through my work, I hope to shed light on the unique challenges faced by informal sector workers and advocate for more effective policies to support their livelihoods.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I am also an active member of the social work community, participating in conferences and community events to share my knowledge and connect with fellow scholars.
