Biography

I am working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) since June 2022 . My research domain is based on sustainable construction, and research focus includes, but not limited to, steel-concrete composite structures, bolted joints, tubular members, design and testing of composite members, earthquake engineering, high-strength thin-walled steel and composite members. My research outcomes have been published in several top peer-reviewed journal and international conferences, and I have filed a patent for a utility design model. Additionally, I serve as a reviewer for six SCI journals in structural engineering, and have experience of writing proposals as a Co-Investigator to secure grants from various government bodies.

I have earned my PhD degree in Structural Engineering from PolyU in 2022 under the supervision of Prof. Tak-Ming Chan. Prior to my doctoral studies, I was selected by the State Public Service Commission and served as an Engineering Officer (Gazetted) in the Indian State Government for about four-years. I received my M.Tech (Master of Technology) degree in Earthquake Engineering from National Institute of Technology (Silchar) with Distinction in the year 2014, and obtained my B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) with First Class Honours in Civil Engineering in the year 2012. In addition to my research and academic works, I am also currently serving as a Residential Tutor at one of PolyU's co-ed student halls, where I promote discipline, safety, foster inclusivity, and encourage a sense of global community among residents.
