• Fire experiments involving pyrolysis, flame spread, liquid pool fires, gas burners, water mist, thermal radiation, compartment fires, thermal runaway, flammability limits, and spontaneous combustion
• Measurements of heat release rate, smoke production, opacity, thermal radiation, total heat flux, temperatures of solids and gases, concentration of gases, and gas velocities
• Simulations of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, fire, flame spread, pyrolysis, and evacuations
• Optimization using inverse modeling and machine learning
