Biography

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marwan S. Azzubaidi is a medical doctor (M.B.B.S.) with a Master and Ph.D. degrees in Medical Sciences (Pharmacology) from Malaysia. Currently, Dr. Marwan is the Head of Pharmacology Department at the Faculty of Medicine, University Sultan Zainal Abidin, in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia.
In addition to neuropharmacology, the main area of his research studies and interest, Dr. Marwan's attention in research was directed towards discovering new agents for the treatment of hypertension and hematological disorders that are common in southeast Asia. Dr. Marwan is also an Associate Editor in the Asian Journal of Medicine and Biomedicine for the period from 2018-2022. During the last few years, he was invited as a keynote speaker, panelist in Medical workshops, Medical journal reviewer, and as a scientific committee member for organizing several medical events, conferences, and symposiums, discussing and cultivating the role of clinical Pharmacology in the contemporary era of Medical Sciences. His efforts in teaching pharmacology to undergraduate and postgraduate students were crowned by his winning the Best Teacher (Lecturer) award among Science-based faculty members in 2015.
