Biography
Dr. Yu-Chen Fan is the professor in the Department of Hepatology, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University. He was trained as an attending physician in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University (Jinan, China) and finished his graduate studies and obtained the Medical Doctor’s degree in Shandong University Cheeloo College of Medicine. The major interest of Dr. Yu-Chen Fan’s studies is the immune mechanism of hepatitis B virus associated liver diseases, including negative immune regulation of liver failure and hepatitis B, immune molecular biomarkers for the prognosis of liver failure, and DNA methylation in the clinical science of hepatitis B. Currently, Dr. Yu-Chen Fan is the associate editor of Hepatitis Monthly, Clinical and Translational Hepatology, and Frontiers in Molecular Bioscience: Molecular Diagnostics and Therapeutics, in addtion with an editor in Canadian Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He has also been invited as the reviewer for about more than 30 professional journals, such as Gut, Hepatology, Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Liver International, Ebiomedicine, Journal of Viral Hepatitis, and so on. Dr Yu-Chen Fan has published about more than 100 professional papers in the research field of hepatitis B, liver failure and hepatocellular carcinoma.
