Biography

Graduated in Bachelor's in Biological Sciences at Federal University of Juiz de Fora / UFJF. During the graduation period, developed research in Ecology and Molecular Biology of Microorganisms area, working in aquaculture projects with focus on microbiology applied to recirculation systems in fish farming. Completed master's and doctorate in Aquaculture at the Federal University of Rio Grande / FURG, in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology area, focusing on genetic manipulation of cyanobacteria, developing works with an emphasis on optimizing production of recombinant proteins in cyanobacteria by applying of genetic techniques.
