Biography
Mr. Travieso-Torres has 27 years of experience and a proven track record of effective management and leadership skills. He possesses exceptional communication abilities and is dedicated to achieving excellence. Their academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree with honors, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree, and an Electrical Engineer (E.E.) degree. Additionally, he holds a Project Manager Professional (PMP) credential, which was granted by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
With a strong background in the industry, Mr. Travieso-Torres developed a research and teaching carrier, leading multiple research projects with budgets of up to 0.5 million USD. He is the author or co-author of over thirty scientific publications on nonlinear adaptive control and applications, including two book chapters. He is a full professor (tenure track) at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
In terms of his experience in the Industry, Mr. Travieso-Torres has held various positions such as deputy Project Engineering Manager in a Mega Project in Bechtel with a CAPEX of 6 billion USD, Site Manager and Engineering Manager at BHP Billiton with a CAPEX of 300 million USD, Tie-in, Commissioning, and Field Engineering Manager at SNC-Lavalin, Global Subject Matter Expert at Fluor, and Engineering Functional Manager and Project Manager at BRASS Chile S.A. He has worked on engineering projects in official languages (written and spoken) in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. He has also worked as a technical advisor.
