Biography

Louise graduated from the Australian National University with a PhD in 2018. Her thesis was focused on the experimental partitioning between plagioclase, clinopyroxene and melt as well as diffusion in plagioclase and analysis of gabbroic rocks from around the world. Louise specialises in the use of laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (LA-ICP-MS) for trace element mineral analysis.
She started her postdoctoral fellowship at CSIRO in 2017 and is now focused on the changes in trace element chemistry in resistate minerals as an indicator for prospectivity.
