Biography

I am a physician trained at the Faculty of Medicine "San Fernando" of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and hold a master's degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, where I specialized in evidence-based medicine and evidence synthesis.

Currently, I contribute to the development of clinical practice guidelines (GPC) at the Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas and conduct health technology assessments (ETS) at the Instituto de Evaluación de Tecnologías en Salud e Investigación of the social health insurance system in Lima, Peru. My work focuses on evidence synthesis in oncology, aiming to inform decision-making regarding the recommendation and integration of high-cost oncologic therapies into the Peruvian healthcare system.

In addition to my research activities, I serve as a lecturer and researcher in clinical simulation at the Universidad Científica del Sur and collaborate with the Grupo de Investigación en Neurociencias, Eficacia Clínica y Salud Pública. Due to my academic and research contributions, I am currently recognized as a RENACYT researcher.

Throughout my career, I have developed and refined methodological expertise in evidence synthesis, with a strong emphasis on applying the GRADE methodology. This expertise enables me to make meaningful contributions to the development of ETS, GPC, and clinical research. I am committed to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, promoting proactive problem-solving, and advancing healthcare decision-making through high-quality evidence synthesis.
